SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Lock Haven earned a crucial 2-0 victory over Shippensburg on Wednesday, snapping a two-match losing streak with a disciplined defensive performance. The visiting Bald Eagles improved to 4-8-2 overall while handing the home Raiders their second consecutive defeat.

Olivia Hudson opened scoring in the 56th minute, assisted by Julia Tavares and Sydney Linus, giving Lock Haven a 1-0 lead. Maci Shaffer doubled the advantage in the 59th minute to seal the result. The goals came during a stretch where Lock Haven controlled possession and limited Shippensburg's attacking opportunities.

Lock Haven's defense proved suffocating throughout, holding Shippensburg to just three shots on goal despite the home team earning five corner kicks. The visitors generated 11 total shot attempts compared to Shippensburg's eight, demonstrating superior field position and tactical execution. Lock Haven's goalkeeper made three saves to preserve the shutout.

Shippensburg, now 3-8-3, struggled to generate consistent offensive pressure despite multiple substitutions. The Raiders made four changes at halftime and additional adjustments throughout the second half in search of attacking rhythm. Maegan Quinn, Chloe Chipego, and Gracie Boritz each recorded attempts but could not find the back of the net.

Lock Haven's midfield controlled the tempo, particularly after the opening 45 minutes. The Bald Eagles' substitutions—including changes to their backline and attacking options—maintained defensive solidity while preserving energy. Leana Cuzzocrea and Bryn Const
