GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA — Pensacola Christian and Florida College (FL) battled to a 2-2 draw on October 31 in an NCAA matchup that saw both teams exchange leads throughout the contest. The away side mounted a second-half comeback to secure the tie before a crowd in Gainesville.
Briggs Bent gave Florida College an early advantage in the 20th minute, assisted by Leo Hackett. Pensacola Christian equalized just 11 minutes later when Boaz DaSilva scored in the 31st minute with help from Eric Romero. Florida College regained the lead moments later as Jhon Solis found the net in the 36th minute off a Yorgen Torres assist, giving the hosts a 2-1 halftime edge.
Justin Loveland leveled the match for Pensacola Christian in the 67th minute with an unassisted goal, forcing the teams to settle for a draw. Neither side could break through in the remaining minutes, leaving both teams with a point.
