ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND — Bucknell secured a 1-0 victory over Navy on Friday, extending its winning streak while handing the Midshipmen their first loss in three matches. The Bison improved to 9-3-4 with the road triumph, while Navy dropped to 3-7-7 after consecutive draws.

Drew Roskos broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, assisted by Freddie Lapworth, giving Bucknell an early advantage that proved decisive. The goal came during a first-half period dominated by defensive intensity, with both teams generating limited clear-cut opportunities before the breakthrough.

Bucknell controlled possession through much of the match, recording seven shot attempts compared to Navy's six. The Bison's three shots on goal matched Navy's output, but superior finishing and defensive organization allowed the visitors to preserve their lead throughout the second half.

Navy pressed aggressively after halftime, earning four corner kicks to Bucknell's two, but failed to convert their opportunities into goals. Jalen Grant and Andrew Schug each tested Bucknell's defense with attempts that went wide, while the Bison's goalkeeper made three crucial saves to maintain the shutout.

Bucknell's defense, anchored by Jackson Sullivan and Cohen Weaver, limited Navy's attacking rhythm despite the home team's territorial advantage in stretches. The Bison made nine substitutions throughout the contest, rotating personnel while maintaining their defensive structure and preventing the Midshipmen from finding the equalizer.
