ALPINE, Texas — DBU dismantled Sul Ross State 11-0 on Wednesday, extending the Patriots' perfect season to 15-0 while delivering the most lopsided defeat in the Lobos' winless campaign. The visiting Patriots controlled the match from start to finish, recording 32 shots on goal and 44 total attempts against a Sul Ross State defense that managed only one shot attempt.
Anne Louthan opened scoring in the 6th minute, assisted by Skylar Belanger, setting the tone for a dominant first half. Parker Coe doubled the advantage in the 13th minute with help from McKenna Vela and Belanger. Riley Olsen extended DBU's lead to 3-0 in the 24th minute, assisted by Angelina Olmos and Louthan, before halftime.
The second half proved even more devastating for the hosts. McKenna Vela scored in the 49th minute off an Louthan assist, then Chandler Wheat added the fifth goal in the 52nd minute with Vela providing the setup. Joeli Benson made it 6-0 in the 53rd minute, assisted by Olmos and Vela. Vela struck again in the 55th minute with Kenzi Tufts credited with the assist.
