BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — Bloomsburg claimed a 2-1 victory over East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, improving to 7-1-6 with a second-half surge that proved decisive in the regional matchup. The Huskies broke through a tightly contested first half to secure their first win in three matches, while the visiting Warriors fell to 8-6-2 despite a spirited comeback attempt.
Connor Fiadino opened the scoring in the 26th minute for Bloomsburg, assisted by Owen Hollobaugh and Braden Alicea. The goal capped a first-half performance where both teams created chances but neither could establish sustained offensive pressure. East Stroudsburg's Phil Sykes made two saves to keep the deficit manageable heading into intermission.
The Warriors equalized in the 53rd minute when Darryl Longdon converted from close range, assisted by Owen Rennie. The goal energized East Stroudsburg's attack and suggested a potential upset was brewing. However, Bloomsburg responded swiftly with Owen Hollobaugh's go-ahead goal just three minutes later at the 56-minute mark, assisted by Quaid Molino and Sam Blumberger. That sequence proved pivotal, as the Huskies controlled the remainder of the match despite East Stroudsburg's continued pressure.
Bloomsburg goalkeeper Peter Punchello made five saves to preserve the lead, including crucial stops on Ethan Flickinger in the 63rd minute and Jace Seara in the 74th minute. East Stroudsburg finished with six shots on goal
