BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — Kutztown defeated Bloomsburg 1-0 on Wednesday, extending its winning streak to two games with a first-half goal. The Golden Bears broke through early and held firm defensively to secure the road victory before a regional PSAC matchup crowd.

Maura Day provided the decisive moment in the 8th minute, assisted by Sierra Hess, giving Kutztown the lead it would not relinquish. The goal came during a period of early pressure from the visitors, who controlled possession in Bloomsburg's defensive third.

Bloomsburg pressed for an equalizer throughout the remainder of the match, particularly in the second half. The Huskies generated multiple scoring opportunities but could not convert, with shots from Haley Bull, Cassidey Snyder, and Madelyn Blake all missing the target. Kutztown's defense, anchored by its goalkeeper, recorded four saves to preserve the shutout.

Kutztown dominated territorial play, recording 11 shot attempts compared to Bloomsburg's nine. The Golden Bears' 5-2 advantage in shots on goal reflected their offensive efficiency. Corner kicks also favored the visitors, who earned eight to Bloomsburg's four, creating additional scoring opportunities that the Huskies' defense managed to clear.

Both teams made significant adjustments at halftime. Bloomsburg substituted three players, including forward Haley Bull, in an attempt to spark offensive production. Kutztown made one change, replacing Ava Hissong. Additional substitutions followed throughout the second half as both sides sought to shift momentum.
