PALO ALTO, Calif. — Chaminade earned a 1-1 draw at Menlo on Thursday, equaling the hosts despite being outshot 26-2. The Silverswords, struggling at 1-8-2, secured a crucial point through Caleb Yap-Texeira's 86th-minute equalizer, while the regional powerhouse Oaks (10-3-1) dominated possession but couldn't convert their territorial advantage into victory.

Jose Garcia opened scoring for Menlo in the 33rd minute, assisted by Giuseppe Sigala. The goal gave the hosts control throughout the first half and into the second, as they pressed aggressively in search of a second goal.

Menlo controlled the match with 12 shots on goal compared to Chaminade's two. The Oaks generated seven corner kicks and maintained relentless offensive pressure, particularly in the second half. However, their inability to finish proved costly when Yap-Texeira equalized in the 86th minute, assisted by Vlad Tomutiu, forcing a stalemate.

Chaminade's goalkeeper recorded 11 saves, a standout performance that kept the Silverswords competitive despite their significant disadvantage in shot attempts. The defensive effort proved essential in securing the draw for the visiting team.

Michael Oelberger received a yellow card for unsporting conduct in the 74th minute as tensions mounted late in the match. Both teams made extensive substitutions throughout, with Menlo rotating six players at halftime and Chaminade replacing four starters.

The draw marks Chaminade's second consecutive result without a loss, following a 4-3 victory over Westmont on
