CALIFORNIA, PA — California (PA) defeated Seton Hill 3-1 on Wednesday, extending its winning streak to two games. The Vulcans broke through in the second half with three unanswered goals to overcome a scoreless first 45 minutes before a regional audience.

Veronica Warunek opened scoring in the 24th minute, assisted by Macrina Robb, giving California (PA) an early advantage. The teams remained deadlocked at 1-0 through halftime despite continued pressure from both sides.

California (PA) added two more goals in quick succession after intermission. Izabella DeGlopper extended the lead to 2-0 in the 54th minute. Warunek struck again in the 89th minute to seal the victory with a right-footed finish.

Seton Hill's Kilee Coatney converted a penalty kick in the 67th minute to temporarily cut the deficit to 2-1, but the Griffins could not generate sustained offensive pressure thereafter. Jillian Botti and Binta Sow each received yellow cards for unsporting conduct.
