MIAMI — Flagler extended its winning streak to two matches Wednesday, shutting out Barry 2-0 in a decisive NCAA Division II contest. The Saints broke through in the second half after a scoreless first 45 minutes, with Paige Churchill and Hannah Hughes providing the offensive spark that proved decisive on the road.

Churchill opened the scoring in the 48th minute, assisted by Avery Raimondo, giving Flagler the lead it would not relinquish. Hughes doubled the advantage in the 55th minute with Churchill providing the assist, effectively sealing the victory before Barry could mount a meaningful response.

The first half remained tightly contested, with both teams creating chances but neither finding the back of the net. Flagler's Brooke Rienecker and Mikayla Lambert tested Barry's defense early, while Dylan Barnes generated opportunities for the hosts. The stalemate reflected the competitive balance typical of Division II regional play, where defensive organization often determines outcomes.

Flagler's second-half adjustments proved critical. The Saints generated six shots on goal compared to Barry's four, controlling possession and limiting the Buccaneers' attacking opportunities. Barry managed five corner kicks to Flagler's three, but could not convert the set-piece chances into goals.

Both goalkeepers recorded four saves, highlighting the defensive intensity throughout. Flagler's 11 shot attempts outpaced Barry's eight, demonstrating the Saints' ability to sustain pressure and create volume in the attacking third.

The result marks Flagler's second consecutive victory following an 8-0 rout of Albany State last Saturday. The Saints improve
