Findlay Defeats Ashland 4-2 Behind Second-Half Offensive Surge

FINDLAY, Ohio — Findlay defeated Ashland 4-2 on Thursday, extending its winning streak to two games with a dominant second-half performance. The Oilers (8-5-2) broke open a tight first-half contest after intermission, while Ashland (4-9-3) managed only two goals despite 11 corner kicks in a regional matchup between NCAA Division II programs.

Tom Middleham opened scoring for Findlay in the 15th minute, assisted by Ryan Dickinson. Jeroen Van Der Veen doubled the Oilers' advantage in the 31st minute with Middleham providing the assist, giving Findlay a commanding 2-0 halftime lead despite Ashland's territorial pressure.

Hayden Clark pulled Ashland within one goal in the 48th minute, assisted by Tom Woodward and Alex James, signaling a potential comeback. Carson Oberski restored Findlay's two-goal cushion in the 55th minute, however, effectively ending any Eagles momentum. Tom Woodward scored again for Ashland in the 66th minute, but Oberski sealed the victory with his second goal in the 81st minute.
