DUE WEST, South Carolina — Belmont Abbey dismantled Erskine 4-0 on Friday, extending its winning streak to six matches with a dominant display. The Crusaders, ranked among regional powerhouses at 13-4-1, controlled possession throughout and capitalized on their offensive opportunities to secure a convincing victory on the road.

Haley Long opened scoring in the 10th minute, assisted by Anna Richard, giving Belmont Abbey an early advantage. Karis Peterson doubled the lead in the 49th minute with an unassisted goal to start the second half. Long added her second goal in the 72nd minute, again with Richard providing the assist, before Hanna Doerr sealed the victory in the 87th minute with a finish assisted by Sabrina Cunha.

Belmont Abbey dominated shot attempts, recording 22 total shots with 10 on goal compared to Erskine's three attempts and zero shots on target. The Crusaders' offensive pressure proved relentless, particularly after halftime when they converted their chances with clinical finishing. The regional powerhouse controlled the tempo throughout, limiting Erskine's opportunities and dictating play from midfield.

Erskine, struggling at 3-10-2, offered minimal resistance despite making five substitutions at halftime in an attempt to spark a turnaround. The Eagles have now lost four consecutive matches, including a 4-0 defeat to Francis Marion on October 25. Goalkeeper saves kept the deficit from expanding further, with Erskine's defense recording six saves but unable to prevent the onslaught of Belmont Abbey
