DUE WEST, South Carolina — Belmont Abbey overwhelmed Erskine 8-3 on Friday night, with Sam Jordan scoring three goals to lead the Crusaders to a dominant road victory. The away team's offensive onslaught proved too much for the struggling home squad, which entered the match on a three-game losing streak.

Jordan opened the scoring in the 56th minute, then added two more goals late in the second half to secure the hat trick. Zachary Birch struck first for Belmont Abbey at 39:43, assisted by Cory Lownds, giving the visitors a 2-1 halftime lead after Erskine had equalized through Sean Jacobs' 23:25 goal, which was set up by Jorge Torres-Cortes.

The Crusaders' offensive dominance accelerated after intermission. Leo Harbottle extended the lead to 3-2 in the 63rd minute with an assist from Jordan. Darren Lawlor added a fourth goal at 75:28, assisted by Marcos Frias, before Jordan's second strike at 79:54 made it 5-3. Mateo Mancera scored off Anthony Armas' assist at 81:25, followed immediately by Jordan's third goal in the same minute. Samuel Atherton capped the rout with an 86th-minute finish, assisted by Frias.
