Alyse Daavettila opened the scoring in the 47th minute, assisted by Madison Bilbia, giving Northern Michigan an early advantage. Addison Frantti doubled the lead at 34:21, with Lily Senese and Hannah Kastamo combining on the assist. The Wildcats' two-goal halftime lead proved insurmountable against a Roosevelt side struggling to generate consistent offensive chances.
Roosevelt mounted a brief second-half response when Daisy Hernandez-Loya scored in the 52nd minute off a Carisma Rosales assist, cutting the deficit to one. The goal provided momentary hope for the Lakers, but Northern Michigan quickly reasserted control.
