WHITEWATER, Wis. — Wis.-Whitewater defeated Wis.-Platteville 2-1 on Friday, extending its winning streak to two games with a second-half surge. The Warhawks improved to 14-3-1 overall, while the visiting Pioneers fell to 7-5-5 after dropping their second consecutive match.

Brock Jurinek gave Platteville an early advantage in the 18th minute, capitalizing on an opportunity to put the away team ahead. The Pioneers controlled stretches of the first half but couldn't extend their lead despite multiple attempts, including shots from Brady Harwood and Thomas Gaither that sailed high.
