LIVINGSTON, Ala. — Spring Hill and West Ala. played to a 1-1 draw Friday night in a competitive NCAA Division II contest that saw both regional powers exchange goals but neither able to break through for a winner. The match remained scoreless through the first half before Emily Callahan gave the hosts an advantage in the 29th minute, only to have Hailey Blanott equalize for the visiting Badgers in the 56th minute.

West Ala., riding a two-game winning streak and sitting at 10-2-3 overall, controlled stretches of the first half but struggled to convert chances into goals. The home side generated nine shot attempts and four shots on goal but couldn't capitalize on early opportunities. Spring Hill's defense, anchored by solid positioning, kept the match tight despite West Ala.'s territorial advantage.

Callahan broke the deadlock in the 29th minute with an assist from Abby Regan, giving West Ala. a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The goal came after sustained pressure from the Lions, who appeared poised to control the second half. However, Spring Hill emerged from the break with renewed intensity and purpose.

The Badgers equalized in the 56th minute when Blanott scored off assists from Ellie King and Olivia Vasquez, capitalizing on a well-executed sequence to level the match at 1-1. The goal energized Spring Hill's attack and shifted momentum decidedly in the visitors' favor. From that point forward, both teams traded chances but neither could find the decisive breakthrough.
