Trevecca Nazarene Outlasts Christian Brothers 5-3 in Offensive Showcase

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Trevecca Nazarene snapped a two-game losing streak Friday with a 5-3 victory over visiting Christian Brothers in a Division II matchup featuring eight combined goals. The Apostles (4-7-4) bounced back from consecutive conference defeats to secure their first win since late October, while the Lady Buccaneers (2-12-1) suffered their third loss in four matches.

Peyton Wilkinson opened scoring in the 3rd minute for Trevecca, assisted by Anny Mitra and Maria Luiza Rocha. Natalia Bowles doubled the lead at 13 minutes with help from Wilkinson and Katie Whiting. Christian Brothers responded when Elisa Cruz scored in the 21st minute, assisted by Madison Woolridge, but Trevecca maintained control through halftime.

Riley Kate Collins extended Trevecca's advantage in the 56th minute. Savanna Mondesir-Singh pulled Christian Brothers within one at 62 minutes, setting up a competitive second half.
