HATTIESBURG, Miss. — William Carey (Miss.) dismantled visiting Faulkner (AL) 7-0 on Thursday, delivering a comprehensive offensive performance. The Crusaders scored seven goals across both halves to secure a decisive victory.
Alessia Navarro opened the scoring in the 10th minute, assisted by Virginia Mesa. Lauren Entremont doubled the lead just 54 seconds later with Mesa providing another assist. Karen Vilau extended the advantage to 3-0 in the 20th minute, also assisted by Mesa. Navarro added her second goal in the 49th minute, this time set up by Argentina Estrada. Vilau scored again in the 63rd minute with an assist from Navarro. Maddie Davis made it 6-0 in the 83rd minute, assisted by Raquel Diaz. Natoya Atkinson capped the rout with a goal in the 88th minute, assisted by Paloma Paris.
William Carey dominated possession with 22 shots compared to Faulkner's one attempt. Virginia Mesa's playmaking proved instrumental, recording multiple assists in the first half to establish early control. The Crusaders face their next conference matchup in the coming week.
