KIRKLAND, Washington — Eastern Oregon won 1-0 at Northwest on Friday, October 31st, breaking through late in the match with a decisive goal. The Mountaineers' offense generated consistent pressure throughout, ultimately converting in the 86th minute before 577 spectators.
Karina DeYoung scored the match-winner in the 86th minute, assisted by Joslyn Sizemore. The goal came after Eastern Oregon dominated possession in the second half, with multiple shot attempts testing Northwest goalkeeper Katie Snow.
Eastern Oregon's attack created numerous scoring opportunities from the opening minutes. Peyton Jacaway generated early chances with shots in the 11th, 16th, and 26th minutes, all saved by Snow. Jillian Brown added pressure with a shot attempt in the 11th minute, also denied by the Northwest goalkeeper.
