HOUSTON, TEXAS — Houston Christian dominated Southern Ind. 5-1 on Sunday, improving to 10-5-2 with a dominant offensive performance. The Huskies broke through early and never relented against the struggling Eagles, who fell to 2-10-5 on the season.

D'Alessandro Herrera opened scoring in the 18th minute, assisted by Cezar Onut and Nana Obeng. Jireh Oyebamiji doubled the lead in the 53rd minute with an assist from Obeng. Oyebamiji struck again in the 63rd minute, this time set up by Kacy Parish. Ryan Okerayi extended Houston Christian's advantage in the 66th minute. Joby Reid capped the scoring in the 75th minute, assisted by Okerayi and Ron Pressler. Pablo Juan provided Southern Ind.'s lone goal in the 83rd minute, assisted by Tony Murphy.

Houston Christian's offensive efficiency proved decisive, outshooting Southern Ind. 19-6 overall and 10-3 on target. Oyebamiji's two-goal performance highlighted the Huskies' attacking prowess as they controlled the match from start to finish. Southern Ind. visits Lindenwood next weekend seeking to reverse their recent struggles.
