KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Maryville (MO) scored three unanswered goals to overcome an early deficit and defeat Truman St. 3-1 on Sunday. The visiting Saints extended their winning streak to two matches with a decisive second-half performance that proved too much for the struggling Bulldogs.

Jacob Panagos gave Truman St. an early advantage in the 23rd minute, assisted by Oliver Doyle. The home team's lead proved short-lived as Maryville (MO) dominated the remainder of the contest.

Magnus Buschmeier equalized for the Saints in the 75th minute, sparking the offensive onslaught. Sebastian Weitlaner added the go-ahead goal in the 88th minute. Jose Vilela sealed the victory with a final goal in the 90th minute, assisted by Louis LeBars.

Maryville (MO) controlled the match with six shots on goal compared to Truman St.'s six, but converted opportunities at a higher rate. The Saints also earned five corner kicks to the Bulldogs' three, reflecting their territorial advantage throughout the second half.

Truman St. fell to 3-10-3 overall and extended its losing streak to one match following consecutive disappointing results. The Bulldogs drew 1-1 against Mo.-St. Louis on Friday before Sunday's defeat.

Maryville (MO) improved to 9-6-2 with the road victory, bouncing back from a 1-0 loss to Upper Iowa
