BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Frostburg St. defeated West Va. Wesleyan 3-1 on Sunday, extending its winning streak to two games. The visiting Mountaineers controlled the match with superior finishing, recording four saves while holding the Bobcats to just one goal across 90 minutes. The result improved Frostburg St. to 7-8-2 overall, while West Va. Wesleyan fell to 3-11-3 amid a three-game losing streak.

Carlos Quintero Rivas opened scoring in the 33rd minute to give Frostburg St. an early advantage. Frank Stare doubled the lead in the 38th minute, establishing a commanding two-goal cushion before halftime. Anthony Diaz extended the advantage in the 64th minute with an assist from Stare, effectively putting the match out of reach. Ahmed Abdelsalam answered for West Va. Wesleyan in the 79th minute, but the goal proved too late to spark a comeback.

Frostburg St. dominated possession efficiency, converting three of four shots on goal into scores. The Mountaineers attempted nine total shots compared to West Va.
