TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA — #3 Florida St. overwhelmed Ohio St. 4-1 on Friday night in an NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship match, with Jordynn Dudley scoring twice to power the Seminoles past the Buckeyes in front of 2,408 fans.

Dudley opened the scoring in the 36th minute, assisted by Nawreen Ahmad, giving Florida St. an early advantage. She doubled her tally just before halftime in the 40th minute with help from Sophia Nguyen, establishing a commanding 2-0 lead that would prove insurmountable. Yuna McCormack added a third goal in the 51st minute off assists from Nyanya Touray and Dudley, extending the Seminoles' cushion to three. Wrianna Hudson capped the scoring in the 85th minute with Taylor Suarez and Heather Gilchrist credited with the assist. Amanda Schlueter's goal in the 49th minute, set up by Berkley Mape and Elle Britt, provided Ohio St.'s lone answer.

The first half belonged entirely to Florida St., which controlled possession and created consistent attacking opportunities. Ohio St. struggled to establish rhythm in the opening 45 minutes, with the Buckeyes' defense under constant pressure. Dudley's movement in the box proved troublesome for Ohio St.'s backline, and the Seminoles' midfield dictated the tempo throughout. By halftime, Florida St. had already built a commanding advantage that left little doubt about the match's direction.

Ohio St. emerged with more urgency after the break, and Schlueter's finish early in the second half briefly suggested a potential comeback. However, McCormack's response just minutes later extinguished any Buckeyes momentum. From that point forward, Florida St. controlled the match despite Ohio St.'s continued efforts to create chances. The Seminoles' defense tightened considerably, limiting the Buckeyes to sporadic opportunities while maintaining their attacking threat.

Florida St. dominated the statistical battle, outshooting Ohio St. 25-14 overall and 13-4 on target. The Seminoles also won the corner kick battle 5-2. Ohio St. goalkeeper made 9 saves in a losing effort, while Florida St.'s keeper recorded 3 stops. The disparity in shot volume reflected the match's flow—Florida St. now plays the winner of TCU and Vanderbilt in the College Cup on December 5th.
