SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall delivered a commanding performance in a 5-0 victory over FIU on Tuesday evening at Owen T. Carroll Field, extending their unbeaten streak to three matches. The Pirates (5-2-4) controlled the match from start to finish in front of 1,247 spectators.

Joseph Min opened the scoring for Seton Hall in the 14th minute, assisted by Sam Bjork. Thomas Sellwood doubled the lead in the 22nd minute with Liam Guske providing the assist. Bjork added a third in the 25th minute off a combination from Thomas Sellwood and Hugo Gerbore. The Pirates continued their offensive onslaught in the second half, with Giacomo Mana finding the net in the 76th minute through assists from Axel Berglund and Liam Guske. Mans Saebbo completed the scoring in the 83rd minute with an unassisted strike.

The first half showcased Seton Hall's attacking prowess, with the Pirates generating multiple quality chances. Scott Neil had FIU's first opportunity in the 2nd minute, but his shot went wide. Agustin Resch tested the FIU defense in the 6th minute, followed by Joseph Min's attempt in the 14th minute. The Pirates' pressure resulted in three first-half goals, while goalkeeper Matias Molina maintained a clean sheet with two crucial saves.

FIU attempted to respond after the break, with Eduardo Mustre and Diego Sanchez both creating chances around the 60th minute. However, Seton Hall's defensive unit, anchored by Liam Guske and Konstantin Donalies, remained resolute. The Pirates' tactical adjustments at halftime, including the introduction of Til Kauschke and Mans Saebbo, proved effective in maintaining control.

The final statistics reflected Seton Hall's dominance, as they outshot FIU 10-8, putting 7 shots on target compared to FIU's 6. The Pirates earned 3 corner kicks to FIU's 5, while the match saw three yellow cards - two for FIU (Johan Helan in the 42nd minute and Enrique Mutsoli in the 47th) and one for Seton Hall's Agustin Resch in the 74th minute.

Several Pirates delivered standout performances, particularly Liam Guske with two assists and solid defensive work. Goalkeeper Matias Molina recorded six saves to secure the clean sheet, while Sam Bjork contributed both a goal and an assist. For FIU, Nicolas Villalobos showed determination with multiple shot attempts, and goalkeeper Nigel Van Haveren made two saves despite the challenging evening.

Seton Hall's tactical approach emphasized quick transitions and wing play, with Giacomo Mana and Thomas Sellwood consistently creating problems for FIU's defense. The Panthers struggled to counter Seton Hall's high press, which forced numerous turnovers in dangerous positions.

The victory strengthens Seton Hall's position in the conference standings, while FIU (5-5-2) sees their two-match unbeaten run come to an end. The Pirates' ability to convert chances efficiently while maintaining defensive discipline showcased their growing confidence under pressure.

Looking ahead, Seton Hall travels to face Villanova on October 11, while FIU returns home to host South Florida on October 12. The Pirates will aim to extend their unbeaten streak, while the Panthers seek to rebound from this setback.
